Having done 20+ cruise most of which on Princess and Cunard I find Cunard the best value for money and Entertainment sure men have to wear a jacket to dinner small price to pay for great time and the best dance floors afloat closely followed by princess which also has good food and entertainment the only cruise line I will never go on again is P&O Australia once was once too many after 8pm could only get a coffee in paper cups but no eats even though they are controlled by princess they rate no better than 2 stars compaired to other cruise lines

We upgraded our balcony to a suite, and found all the extras and size was worth every cent! This ship is quite small, but absolutely gorgeous. A recent refurbishment gave it a modern twist with luscious colours and fabrics. We ate at all the restaurants (included and extra) and never had a bad meal. The service was impeccable, our cabin was always spotless with ample supplies.
We went to all shows (pays to go a bit early to get a seat), and there was plenty of daytime entertainment for the young and old. Our favourite spot was the oasis aft on deck 10. Child free zone, with a bar, pool and either a musician or a dj. We visited Hamilton Island and an overnight stay in Cairns. Fabulous places for shopping, walks and diving.

This was our taster to the cruise life. We were impressed from start to finish. So much easier to travel by ship than airplanes. The ship was beautiful and immaculate, food was constant and absolutely delicious. Food was varied every day. Restaurant was gorgeous. Drink choices were refreshing (1 night the alcohol won). But we wont go there! 3 Wise Men cocktail was my favourite.
Our cabin was made up 2x a day with little chocolate treats for bedtime. We even had our names on the door. Luggage delivered quickly. Now the staff is the highlight for us both. So polite, respectful, kind and fun. The staff are the best thing I found that would make us travel again. Seeing happy staff makes all the difference. I appreciate everyone of you guys/girls for the outstanding job you do to make our cruise that little bit more special.
Definitely will be back but hopefully on a longer cruise. Fingers and toes crossed.

We had so looked forward to this cruise as part of a one month holiday around the UK and Europe. We booked with Celebrity, expecting much more than Carnival, Princess and Royal Caribbean with whom we had sailed 12 times in total. What a disappointment it was.
The staff seemed to have been infected with a care less, can't do attitude, so unlike every other cruise we had been on. We were never referred to by name, nobody greeted you back to a regular bar, the one exception being our room steward who was fantastic.
The food was very average in the main restaurant and the service there was very poor. Admittedly the buffet restaurant had a good selection of food and the meal we had in QSine was probably the best meal we had ever had at sea. Tuscan Grille was very average with service that included arguing as to what a medium rare steak was...and my wife is a chef!
Celebrity Constellation itself is a strangely laid out ship with no large areas or promenades and it felt quite claustrophobic There was no sports bar, which was a shame give the World Cup was on at the time and there was no piano bar.
The shows were second rate with only one show we liked, being a Scottish Michael Buble type singer. Most of the other nights it was just the on board dancers and singers which were very average.
All in all, not what we were hoping for and even Carnival leaves this ship for dead for service, attitude, food and smiles.
We will probably try another Celebrity cruise one day, but not in hurry.

We had a very relaxing time on this cruise. It was not a cruise for people who wanted a never ending night life however. The ship is quite nice but is showing its age. Food was good and the crew and staff were very friendly. The ship only has four tender boats so at one port we did not get off until 11.30am so half the day was spent waiting to get off. Get your tender ticket early.

Our stateroom was comfortable and our cabin attendant was very friendly and helpful. Shows were good - a good variety.

Drinks are quite expensive and RC beverage packages are now quite expensive and they expect everyone over 21 in a cabin to buy a package each. If one of a couple does not drink you need to call RC and arrange to buy one package and one soft drink package. Bars seemed to be understaffed sometimes but not something that was a big worry. The buffet was often full but the ship has an outdoor area leading from the buffet that was very nice - some of it covered so rain was not a problem. The cruise was good value for money - Radiance does have a certain charm and New Zealand is simply stunning.

I went with my 2 daughters and sister in law on this cruise and found everything amazing. It was my 4th trip and they just get better and better. The head waiters and all the crew made it what it was. The seas were in our favour. We crossed the Tasman and it didn't feel like it was the slightest bit rough.. There is always plenty to do and see.. even down to the point of walking first thing in the morning is great.. Got another one coming up in October so that's great

Made a 9-nights New Caledonia cruise in January 2018 on Carnival Legend in a Vista Suite.. Booking process was excellent without any complications.
The ship and its decor are getting a bit tired and need refurbishment. The cabin layout was great, but the cabin furniture totally non-ergonomic. The Vista Suite balcony was huge! The only draw back was that the location of those suites at the rear of the ship makes them subject to significant propulsion noise and associated vibration, particularly noticeable at night.
The room TV system is primitive and of little use, except to hire a very limited number of movies on demand (mostly targeted at children) at $4.99 a pop.
Buffet style lunch or dining is crowded and quite unimaginative, with the regular restaurant dinners however, being OK. For an extra $45/pp per meal you can enjoy a specialist restaurant experience in a more adult atmosphere.
Staff generally very helpful and obliging.
I have two children of my own. I love kids, but I didn't love the invasion of huge numbers of kids let loose throughout the ship without any apparent parental supervision or control by ship staff !!!

There is a small area designated "Serenity" at the rear of the ship (no children allowed), but unless you drop your towel and other possessions on one of the very few quite comfortable cane lounges by around 7 a.m., you will miss out for the rest of the day because of the high demand for such. There is no designated "smokers" area within the "Serenity" set up. If you want to smoke, you are restricted to a very small area at the front of the ship right in the middle of the children's' swimming pools area.

The prices for WiFi access and for drinks generally are over the top and essentially a rip off. I appreciate that it's all about maximizing profits for the shipping company. But do keep an eye on the daily balance on your universal ship plastic card unless you want to get a nasty shock on disembarkation day!

Summary: A very average experience definitely not to be repeated during school holidays!
